Council Highlights – Spring 2022
Registration will begin next month for the AGM June 8-10, 2022 at Dakota Dunes, Whitecap Dakota First Nation. Guest rooms can be booked now
A great deal of Council time is spent reviewing recommendations and requests from SLSA members and our many committees and providing ongoing oversight of committee work. Our newest committees, Peer Competency Review and Government Policy Review, have both been very active. The Bylaw Committee is finalizing its recommendations for bylaw revisions to be presented at the AGM, which the Convention & Education Committees are actively planning. The Museum Committee is preparing to open the museum for the 2022 season. Committee reports will follow prior to the AGM.
Other Council activity in the first quarter of 2022 included approving a Form “P” for B.A. (Brandon) Langton; finalizing the 2022 budget and 2021 Audit; and engaging a legal opinion regarding SLSA’s authority in setting Standards of Practice.
thank you,
